How to convert JPG to WEBP

1. Download nxtconvertIt’s free for macOS, Windows and Linux. Install it like any other app.
2. Add your JPG filesDrag them onto the window, or click Browse files. You can add as many as you like.
3. Choose WEBPPick WEBP in the format menu next to each file, or use “Set all to” for the whole batch.

JPG and WEBP

JPG is the most widely supported photo format. It compresses well and opens everywhere, from phones to printers to email.

WebP is Google’s web image format. It is usually 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same quality and supports transparency and animation.

In Settings you can choose the image quality (Maximum to Smallest) and whether to keep or strip metadata such as camera details and location.
